Admissions FAQs
What grade levels are available at Accelerated Schools?
Currently, we serve grades 5-12.
How do I set an appointment with an enrollment counselor?
To set up an appointment to tour our campus and to learn more about our school and the programs available, you can call us at 303-758-2003, or you can submit an inquiry form (link to https://acceleratedschools.org/admission).
What does “Year-Round Enrollment” mean?
We are a year-round school, meaning we do not adhere to the traditional school year of August to May. We have open enrollment so students can start anytime of the year and we are able to offer classes in the summer to assist in catching up any missed credits.
Immunization Record Requirements
Upon enrollment, we require a copy of current vaccination records or an up-to-date exemption form on file.
Per Colorado School Entry Immunization Law (25-4-901 et seq, C.R.S) and Colorado Board of Health rule (6 CCR 1009-2), students who attend must be vaccinated against many of the diseases that vaccines can prevent. Schools and childcare facilities in Colorado must have records of immunization OR an exemption form for all students within the school.
International Students FAQs
How do I apply to become an international student?
- Please fill out the Application for Admissions. In this document, you will be asked if you wish to select either a 9-month or 12-month enrollment.
- Please make a copy of your passport page that shows all your pertinent information (name, birth date, date and place your passport was issued, your passport number, etc). Send us a copy of this page.
- Please send us a copy of your transcript from your current school. We will use all your credits from 9th grade to evaluate your credits toward US graduation requirements. This credit evaluation is like a “road map” of courses you must complete for high school graduation.
- Please send your health and vaccination records. You must have current health insurance while studying in the US. If you cannot obtain health insurance there, I will help you find a policy in the US.
- You will be asked to submit a $2,000.00 tuition deposit, which is refundable (minus any mailing fees) if you can’t obtain a student visa from the US Embassy. Please note that this is a deposit towards your tuition and will be deducted from the total tuition cost.
- Once you have received an I-20 document and an acceptance letter from our school, you can schedule your interview at the US Embassy to obtain your student visa. When you plan the interview, please find out what documents you must provide the Embassy officials.
How do I apply to be a host family?
Accelerated Schools can provide host families for our international students to live with while enrolled in our school. Living with a local family will allow students to see what “American life” is like while adding an element of support should the student need it. If interested, please call 303-758-2003 and ask for an application form or request more information at [email protected]. Please know that an in-person interview and photos of your home are required before a student can be placed in your home.
